Update the scanner's firmware by downloading the 123 Scan UtilityĪDD AN ENTER KEY: (Carriage Return/Line Feed). Scan the Set Factory Defaults barcode (below) followed by the Add an Enter Key barcodes in sequence. You will need a Philips head screwdriver to disconnect the battery. Disconnect the battery from the bottom of the barcode scanner temporarily and then plug it back in. After the LI4278 resets release the trigger and remove it from the cradle. While resetting the scanner should emit power-up beeps. A red led light should start blinking on the LI4278 signalling that it started re-initialising/resetting.
