Our wiki contains common mistakes and things people are generally tired of asking. So there really isn't much to check to make sure it's working. make sure you have working images (you can do this with dolphin), that are in the right format (iso or wbfs).follow the loader instructions on getting it setup.make sure you have cIOS properly installed (it appears that you do).Hack your system with one of the numerous hacks. You can easily search the subreddit for multiple resolutions, and things to check.Īnd there really isn't much to the setup. What is happening is: loader sees the games, but when launching, I get a black screen and then Wii reboots (I believe, I end up in the system menu). Thank you for putting as much information as you have, it helped keep your post from getting removed. And hopefully if followed properly will prevent the post entirely. The rules and posting guidelines are worded in such a way that we want everything in your post, and we give a ton of information to help prevent your post from being a volley of "Did you do this?", "Yes", as that scenario is what causes posts to be abandoned. Worse, is these unresolved posts litter up the new feed and hinder other posts getting attention. And if the OP has to respond, "I've already done that" then they are wasting the people helping's time, and reducing the chance of getting a resolution. The less information the OP gives, the more they get people asking them obvious questions. The longer a post goes before the OP gives the piece of information about their setup that is causing the problem, the less likely it will be resolved. If you haven't noticed, Reddit as an entity has ADHD.

Software used, syscheck, hardware used, what you have installed on your SD/USB, tutorials, in almost all cases. Needs to include all relevant information regarding the issue.Posting Guidelines and Rules both say something to the effect of The wiki checklist doesn’t say anything about posting. (side question: can I have a FAT32 partition larger than 32GB for the Wii?) googling and trying every suggestion I found, except Cyan’s one to use d2x v8, because the installer doesn’t seem to offer that anymore. changing video settings in loader options When launching Wii games, screen goes black and Wii reboots to system menu. Loader can run N64 games launching Nintendont. Wii games are ISOs in /wbfs/gamename /id.iso (no brackets in the file name) in the NTFS partition. Loader can see all and is set to multiple partitions “on”, and the setting for game names is according to file system described below. HDD has 3 partitions, the first two are 31GB and FAT32. BootMii is on a SD card that I put aside, all the rest is running from a 1TB WD HDD. Also have successfully installed a forwarder to the loader. I have followed wii.guide and installed HBC, BootMii on boot2, Priiloader, then Nintendont and USB Loader GX, and d2x according to the same guide. Edit to clarify: loader sees the games, but a black screen shows after launching, and Wii ends up rebooting.
